I want to install a turbo pressure gauge on my baywindow with TDI engine.

These usually are driven using a hose. Since the engine is in the back, this hose will need to be about 4-5 meters. Is this acceptable, or will this cause incorrect reading?

yeah, works great! no delay on the gauge, and shows really well how the turbo is doing. Corresponds perfectly with the throttle position, like when I floor it the pressure increases instantly.

while cruising at a constant speed under 80 kph, there is hardly any boost. Over 80, at constant speed only 0.5 bar.

but when accelerating, the pressure reaches up to 1.5.

nice thing to hav!

Ultimate engineering sell a gauge that goes into the OBD port. Ultra gauge or something. They're £85 I think. Tells you boost pressure, throttle position, RPM, vehicle speed and loads of other stuff to distract you whilst your driving.

Wow, that seems cool!

I will look into that. I already have a dozen extra loose wiris running from the engine to the front, just in case. So wiring it up should be easy!
