Hi,
I remember talking to a guy who does my mot's and has a 1.8d in his bay, about how he had problems with gearbox mounts. Anyone else had this? Has anyone beefed up any of the mounts in particular?
cheers

Nope mine is just held on by the 2 bolts by the nose and the engine mounts take the weight of the other end _________________ 1971 Devon Bay with 1800 Ford Turbo Diesel Engine (wip)

I use all the original gerabox mounts too and the engine has its own mounting bar. _________________ www.faltownskateboards.com |

stunning, i'll just stick with the originals in that case. When I get round to seein my mot guy i'll quiz him and try and get some photos too - he's had it up and running for about 6 years, used daily.

| I split my last bell housing in my Peugeot conversion so what the MOT tester is saying may be correct, I'm fitting a proper engine mount this time to make sure that it doesn't happen again. |
