It's like this. I have a T25 wth a shot engine and a Merc E320 with a good engine. The Merc is only worth about £3,000 tops if I can find a buyer and a replacement engine e.g. Subaru wll cost me some £k. So I woz thinking, wot about mating the Merc and the T25. As far as I know it's never been done but there's always a first time surely. Trouble is there is no way I can do it myself even if it's doable.

Ideas anyone ?

That sounds an interesting idea . . . You'll have to see if you can get an adaptorplate kit for it first and then do some measuring up to see if the engine would actually fit.
Lots of work in store but could be very nice once it's done though

Your other option would be to buy and fit another make of V6 engine that has adaptorplate kits available Grin

I've done a rough sizing up and it looks like it will fit the 'ole but I agree it's the adaptorplate that's the issue. Any ideas who might help ?

a V6 will fit in the ole a treat Cool i would av thought to making the adapter plate would be the easy part of the job ,, i would think that the starter on that engine is on the engine side rather than the gearbox ,, like the diesels Happy
