Hi there im all new to this, but had enough of of my unreliable air cooled engine. i have decide to go with a pug engine diesel if poss my main worry being the wiring any one know whats involved i would like to use a turbo dose that cause loads of problems to over come. can i use the same petrol tank. anyone one got any experience in what is the best engine to use .

any info would be greatly appreciated

Hello best to check through other posts to a good idea ,,,,,, if your thinking of using a turbo engine then it'll be best to find a 2.0L box ,wiring very straitforward ,,,,, can use same fuel tank ,just need a return ( i just put a T in on the top breather pipe ) the engine that i used in my bay was from a ZX just the same as the peugeot 306 , was a 1.9d and would outperform the latter t4 velle with the 2.4d

So a 1.9d wouldnt be a bad choice dont want to change gear box if i havent got to.any ideas where to get a gear box coversoin plate,and what needs to be done wiring wise thank matt Grin

the first person to anser your post was phill he's the fela that makes the kits he's just to modest to blow his own trumpit Grin he's an ok fela and is still very helpfull even after he's got your dosh (he dont just take your money and run )

Hello might be another 1970 bay getting a pug engine ?? ,, low milage , what would you call low ??????? i would think that the turbo engines would wear out before the n/a engines but then i've had one with 220k miles and still going strong in its 5th vehicle 2 peugeots and 3 t25's
