hi i have the chance of buying a 1.9 t25 gearbox out of a 1989 bus that had the engine code dg. does anyone know if this box will be any good for my 1971 bay. it looks to be a five or six rib. _________________ most bad experiences ive had included cars that werent german. never again |

cheers mate from the photos it did look like it had the selecter on the side, but it was sooo much cheaper than a 2.0 bay box. what are the boxes i should be on the look out for? _________________ most bad experiences ive had included cars that werent german. never again |

obviously the 2.0 6 rib bay and ive been told by bears(gearbox builders and bubba) that the 2.o ltr lawn mower t25 box can have the nose cone changed to bay _________________ vwdrc class rep

do you mean the t25 box with the selector comming out the side of the nose cone ie dk code box?
if you do although it looks like you can just change the nose cone you cant the t25 nose cone is a bit bigger as i have now discovered another £100 wasted on gearboxes |
