hello all and heres my newest toy.

hello all ... this is my newest toy. its got a 1.7 alfasud lump in with disc brakes all round, oh and a wheel base of about 11 foot !!!

wow how much leg room in the back !!!!

any info on these engines would be great as i dont know anything about them yet and its not running to well. if someone could let me know the firing order and position it would save me a bit of time working it out. thanks.

The firing order is 1-3-2-4.

Ignition should be set at 8 degrees BDP, with the vacuum hose off en plugged.

Owh, this is all data for the Alfa 33 with carbs or some bosch ignition system. Don't know if it aplies to the Alfa Sud.

There is a workshop manual somewhere on the web downloadable as a CD image. I will look through my links if I still have it linked somewhere.

edit: found this site for a Alfa 33 (series 1) manual.

does anyone know where the engine number is on these alfa engines so i can find the spec and i want to check the cam timing on it also so i know for getting bits.

I believe it's somewhere around the area of the oil filter, on top of the enginecase.
