Having just bought a mondeo TD with plans to convert to run on chip fat I have been told that Lucas Pumps don't like used chip fat even with the twin tank system they only like new stuff
So looking for another TD estate and wondering if 406's are Bosch or Lucas ! _________________ 1971 Devon Bay with 1800 Ford Turbo Diesel Engine (wip)

i think it will be luck of the draw jp! unless phil can correct me i think that both bosch and lucas pumps were used on the 1.9td engines. However, they are a straight swap apparently (according to my new homeys on club-306.com anyway)
my new daily is a 1.9td 306, it's fitted with a lucas pump but if you wander round the scrapyards you should come across one as these pumps were probably fitted to a whole host of other cars with this engine.
citroen
zx
xantia
xsara
pug
306
406
806
and so on... _________________ '79 Bay running citroen 1.9td and phat tyres! |

| It all depends on what was in front of our french factory workers when they came down the line. They can have either of them on. |

| It isn't hard to swap them over just time consuming and a bit difficult to set the timing up. |
