Because I'm using a roof mounted system and I've sourced a golf 1.9td engine I am just wandering whether or not the water pumps from the T25 1.6 and 1.6td has a larger capacity pump if the standard one hasn't got the guts? Any one know of anything else which bolts on and has a larger pump than the golf engine? like the old 6 cylinder 2.4 LT engine? Imagine it would bolt on becuase from my understanding it's a 1.6 with another two cylinders but can anyone confirm? Cheers

as far as i can tell the pumps are all the same on golfs, passats and t25s

but there are good and bad quality pumps, on the bad ones the impeller runs loose when its warmed up.

Thanks caddy, I guess I'll just run the standard pump and hope it's got the power to pump it up there! My thinking was that the T25 might of had a bigger pump to push it all up to the front of the van but if they are all the same then I might just have a chance as it is.

Cheers

all the water pumps are the same petrol/diesel or car/van you should be ok with roof mounted rad as the heat will go to the top and cold fall itself naturally through thermosyphoning without the waterpump you will need to fill the cooling system on the roof to eliminate air looks
