I been thinking about this a little, as im soon to transplant a basic watercooled lump into my bus it was time to add a water temp gauge (shocking) I know they are available seperately but I was wondering about dashes i could fit in my bus.
I been looking at alsorts but like vw ones from early 90s onwards seem to run electronic speedos, I have a mk3 golf and thats got a sensor on the gearbox which when it brakes is 45quid! question is, for the speedo is there som sort of universal electronic conversion unit that plugs into a bays cable??
now also something else I looked at, all the other electronic gauges, are all the senders compatible with the gauges? I`m thinking the fuel tank one might not be, if so how could this be overcome? oil pressure/temp gauges, are they the same senders mostly regardless of dash ( i know you can get 2 pressures of sender/gauge in porsche 5/10bar)
sorta searching for some options as if im adding a water temp gauge i might try and fit a whole new batch of gauges rather than my dash looking like a halfords performance store. _________________ Second Gear All The Way Baby!

just finished my dash with dakota digital gauges, they do look good but for racing I would not recommend them. The numbers on the speedo are difficult to follow when accelerating very hard for example.
