Where is best to fit the RJES heater bypass valve on a t25?
1.Just before the shut off valve up front?
2. Or right at the engine end?
Its just a thought' but if i fit it up front i should gain a little drop in coolant temp via temp loss in the heater hose's Or would this be so minimal id waste my time cutting and joinig pipes for no advantage?

Functionally, it won't make any difference. I fit them at the back a few inches forward of the 'firewall' (between the starte rsolenoid and the fuel tank on a Syncro), as they provide a convenient bridging piece between my moulded hoses and the VW hose. That way, there is no need to disturb any of the heater plumbing forward of the engine bay. Hope that helps. _________________ Regards,
