My bus heater gash up, was done as a temporary measure 2 years ago.
Alfa matrix, MDF and a 4" bilge fan (£20 from a Chandler)

Box is drilled at the front and also underneath. I made a stove pipe, cut a hole in the cab floor and utilised the existing hot air ducts. Toasty warm & the fan is reversable to blow hot into the back when camped up.

T25 matrix,with the outlet blocked off and holes drilled for all the hoses.

Mk1 - Taken from a scort with a fabricated lid on it to accept the 2 plastic flexies which go to the screen vents.. was effective but sacked now due to it's uglyness

was then used in the rear minus the lid under the RnR and recirculates... used to get the back really toasty.

I plan to modify the rear heater again to mount in the floor to try and create some extra space under RnR and pull in air from outside.

The new front one is blower and matrix from a Scirocco mounted to/within a fabricated metal box and bolts up under the floor plumbing into the orig heater riser.

Just finished this heater set up

It's an escort fan and matrix. The matrix is housed in a wedge shaped box, with ducting around it to make sure the fan pushes the air through the matrix. It's angled, as other wise it would have fouled the clutch pedal.

I made another set up, which was to mount the fan and matrix under the van, but it was a bit tight for space given how wide the escort fans are. I've just installed this set up and it fit's really well underneath.

Hi

I had a Toyota Troopy rear heater in my old 1302, it was mounted under the rear seat opposite the battery.

I used an old Audi 100 brake cooling fan on the right side and the Toyota fan on the left, I blew the warm air down the stock heater channels, the air wasn't very warm but after about 1/2 hour of driving with warmed air recirculating it warmed the up nicely.

It's not bolted in yet because I still need to make a floor. At least it has camper cabinets now. One step at a time, eh?

it uses the original booster fan relay so it turns on when I pull the lever on the dash down.

Front:
I hooked up a Polo heater to the totem..but that does give you some electrics there.

Back:
I put a T25 heater in the RnR-bed.

T25 unit for me too, under the rear seat
