I currentley have a 73 bug with a 1500 single port engine.
The engine is on its way out
I was wondering would a Type 25 lawn mower 2.0L engine from a 1982 transporter bolt straight to my gear box OR would a type 4 engine.
Many thanks for help.

Check out Ian Ambrose's posts on here or on VZi. He's running T25 watercooled in his bug and he knows his stuff. Nice bloke too

*embarrassed smiley" Just re-read your post again. 15 hundred lump in my bug (daily) was the best a/c motor going. He ripped. Mild port, stock carb & exhaust. Beat the pants of my stock 16.

What's actually up with your motor?
I ported my single port & it deffo runs better than the stock 16 that I now have in the back
Yeah my air cooled is my daily Wink

Are you actually a newbee in the "scene"?
Be honest cos we were all on here at some point.

If you are I'd recommend joining a local club or looking/posting on
