many people done this conversion, not sure were to get adapter from etc and what other parts to use,can i use the bus gearbox? any info would be appriciated,i know id have to make a few mods to get the head to fit because its longer than the block but thats not a problem, and im gunna cut an hatch out so easier access to the engine from above, also got a few ideas where id put rad etc,i can get my hands on a good 16v engine so suppose thats a start Happy

Hello dude, i know what it's like when you get an idea in your head and you don't know where to begin ( i was the same..still am Laugh Out Loud )... but the same questions come up time and time again and the knowledge that is inside this forum gets bored repeating themselves over and over without 'people' doing a little detective work for themselves ( 'search ' is your friend here)....

If you'd have searched first you'd have discovered you dont need an adaptor to run the valver on the bay gearbox, just a bell housing from a t25 along with the oil sump ( as the water cooled t25's use the same block casting..)

Anyway good luck with your project and look through as many threads on here as you can , whether there relevant to what your doing or not, you will learn a hell of alot, there is some some very talented visionaries on here Grin

I'm sure one of the guys on "Splitterz" did this. Well I know one did a Goof lump.
Ask on there as I can't remember his name, but Colin rings a bell.
Technohippy knows who I'm talking of

I had a 2ltr 8 valve it was great!! The 16valve would be mind blowing

You'll need to reposition the dizzy, I think you can move it from the cam to the crankcase, otherwise you'll need a huge hole in your fuel tank!
