Mr 13 window

Does the bus handbrake cable fit into the golf rear calipers or have you had to make up adaptors or had a bespoke cable made.

Is this a simple mod?

mk4 gti are solid but you can get the same caliper in a vented flavor from the 225 bhp audi tt if needed

13 window - you are a mind of information!

I think solid rears will do me I don't plan going racing except to watch the Le Mans 24 hrs!

Need to track down some nice fronts calipers now. I will go down the vented option for these.

Back to painting the underside of the floor pan for the time being while I collect more parts - tedious!!!

Hi I am back with this build tread now I have manage to graft a fors Zetec (black top) engine to a VW Box. After a lot of head scratching I have managed to sort out the wiring so that it retains Pats and will run on the original ECU

Well onto the installation.

well just to finish off the info on a zetec. I rescued this item from the passinger foot well pillar of the Mondeo.

It is a fuel shut off valve which does what is says on the tin. A usefull little item that could be installed into any injected bus to turn the fuel pump off in the event of a shunt.

If you mounted it on a quick release mounting you could use it as an anti theft device. One qiuck shake and the fuel pump will not run. Push the red button to reset.

Well one of the unfortunate things about a ressession is that a few companies go to the wall and have to sell off the stock. I was fortunate to spot a notice a high spec boat builder fall into a few difficulties.

As a result I snapped up their stock of Alkantera suede Leather. So i decided to recover the seats with it whilst i was being frustrated by the Zetec wiring. With light grey blue and red it seemed rude not to support the Queen this year!.

Hope you think it is an improovement on drab Brown!

Not quite finished but you get the idea!

I have just started to look at the rest of the wiring in the bus to allow me to graft in the engine. Just looked at the wiring diagram in my Haynes. This must be the worst diagram in the world and the one I downloaded off the net is not much better! They make Lotus look organised.

I think I will trace them back as it appears too much modification has been going on to make things worse.

Found a better wiring diagram that is less like watching snooker in black and white. just hacked out all added wires which is a great improvement.
Always helpful to remove the brown wires that have been added that are not earths!

Had fun weekend. I took the fuel tank out gain as I was not happy with the fuel return for the injection system. so here is my final solution. The fuel returns tohttp://i926.photobucket.com/albums/ad105/Superleggo/March2012011.jpg the top of the tank after the swirl pot. I welded a fitting into the firewall as well for good measure.
