Hello,
I converted my bay to a 1.6l T25 turbodiesel engine and replaced the hydraulic-operated clutch arm with the old cable operated one.
The arm is easy to remove with a tool like this
It works fine with the cable, no issues at all.
Great project you have there, keep on the good work |

I used a 091 box with the diesel bellhousing. The clutch arm comes off the original petrol bellhousing.
As far as I know, the arms from bus the beetle based cars are the same. In the year ´75 to ´76 the diameter of the shaft changed to a few mm bigger. So, there should be two types of arms available of which you need the bigger/newer one. |

So,
A late Beetle Clutch Arm or Late Baywindow Clutch arm would do me.
What busses came with the 091 box?
Post '75 Bays and early T25's...?
thanks again,

Ok Guys.
Managed to get the old Clutch arm off without any drama's.
Received a post '76 Clutch Arm from USA (eBay)
8 days to Ireland. Not Bad.
Waiting on a cable now.
In the meantime.
Should the clutch arm spring back after pushing/pulling it in one direction. .?
Mine just stays in whatever position I push/pull it to.
I lifted the rear wheels and changed gears.
I can get drive from the wheels with the clutch arm in both positions.
Does this mean I have a release bearing problem etc ?
Bear in mind all of these actions are being done at the gearbox side.
I've no clutch pedal installed yet.
Thanks in Advance.
