Think i might have shot myself in the foot here ?? I have a 1.9 turbo diesel from a Xzantia to go into my 2ltr bay and have realised there is no vac pump for the servo , any ideas pls . Also it needs the fluid pump to stay for the alt belt tension and it will prob damage it running dry ie no suspension fluid . would i be better off with another engine ?
No idea about the servo (assuming brake servo - I don't run one) not really too sure how the suspension works either TBH but surly you could just pipe the output of the suspension pump straight back to the input and have it circulating fluid that does nothing.
Either that or could you find another way to tension the belt.

Just a couple of ideas

Thanks for the welcome . Been giving the prob some thought and i might try and fit a vacume pump frop a pug 405 or 206 in place of the xzantia suspension pump ? only worry is the xzantia is a multi `V` belt and i think the pug is a V belt ... off to the scrappy !!!!
I'm sure that the pulley shouldn't pose too much of a problem - worst comes to worse you could have a multi V pulley for the vacume pump made to match.

vac pump ,,,,,if you take the cap off the head camshaft end , you should see a slot mill`d into the end of the cam ,,,, around the cam on the head the is three theaded holes to bolt vac pump , you will find vac pumps on other pug and cit engines ,, there is a brass grub screw in the end of the head this needs removing as its the oil feed to the vac pump ,,, on a bay i would fit the pug cam with puley on to drive belt powerd vac pump as it gives more room against the fuel tank ,,, may have to change inlet manifold to hold pump ,, but check the port holes some round on older 1s later large square 1s ,,
hope this info helps all out ther also rover 218s and 418s with pug engines used remote oil coolers and intercoolers ,, im off to check one out tomorow ,,,, rear engine vdubs rule i was realy disapointed in t4 layout ,, less width less hieght less length cant get 8x4 sheet of ply in cant stand up very well , large turning circle , only got 1 thing going for it 2,4d engine , then saying that my bay with 1,9 n/a pug engine would pick up faster and do the same speed over long distance , mate floged his t4 and could not get away _________________ Auto Union Munga Jeep ,T4 2.4td , T4 2.5tdi ,Mercedes S Class on LPG , 66 splity deluxe , GP mk1, 3 type 25s 1 with 1.9dt pug engine + 1 with N/A pug engine ,,there are 6 t25s with pug power in Darlington

Only just seen this thread, sorry.
My mate's running an electric vacuum pump in his split along with a remote servo. I can find out details for you next week if you're still interested.
Perhaps I'll post it in non engine bits as it's not Pug/engine specific. _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.
