Hi guys, a new question regarding the fitment of a 1.9 TD Golf engine into my Bay!
How can I change the gearing/ final drive?
Or is it popssible to change 4th gear?
I have seen at SSP a pinion and crown set for sale. Is this what I need or are these for Bug boxes?
Also, how difficult would it be to swap these parts while the 'box is on the van?
Help as I'm running out of summer! Sad

hoooge tyres on the rear will help without any surgery to the transmission. Get the measuring tape out and see what you can get on there. Consider a pair of 15" rear wheels for greater choice of tyre.

Hoooooge sounds great and I like your way of thinking!
Unfortunately I am already running 16" steels with 195/45/16's up front and 225/60/16's on the rear. Don't really think I can get anything much larger in there. Especially after a 1 spline drop. Even getting these on and off can be tricky at times!
