hello, well in my mind its a crap motor it only has about a 20 degree V
and one cylinder head also its a tall motor so would stick up through the rear floor, they leak oil as much as as any twin port air cooled lump, however there is no reason not to try it. i mean how hard can it be? |

Funny, that. My Passat VR6 has 140k miles and has needed little but regular maintenance in the 5 years I've owned her. I'm going to drop a VR into my '70 Baywindow. With it's narrow angle, it will fit nicely into the engine comp. Considering it will TRIPLE the power that my lil' 1600 has - I think it's a worthy swap. |

Sounds cool passatman keep us posted on your progress personally think that'll be a sweet set up. Have driven a golf and corrado vr6 and thought the engine was sweet...

Oh and yeah hows the VR6 conversion comin on? I have a VR6 sat round and a Bay window camper too so im naturally intrigued...
