Yo Yo thought I would give you all a wee up date. I've been away at home busting it out on the van-I had similar work to do as covin has just done-all the inner front and about 2" up each chassis leg plus two cross members in the middle. My air sheers are my new favourite tool now-they must have saved my hours in cutting metal and they even cut through 1.8mm which was very usefull-good bye old crappy0.8 vw steel hello 1.2 and 1.8mm galvanised steel and then painted in metal marine paint and then underseeled and then waxoiled try and get through that rust oh and I painted epoxy over all my welds to!

My Dad also rewired my front end-cheers Dad so every thing is working better that even (infact I'm not sure how alot of it was working in the first place-I think I had a perfect balance of short circuits thatr was making it all work as acording to the haynes manual my old wiring shouldnt of ever been able to work

I was also blessed with 48 hours of great weather so I went for it and sprayed a bit of paint on the old goose. The black was a misstate all my paint tins were in French and I thought it was a black under coat for the blue top coat I have-which it was but I assumed undercoat would be primer and not topcoat. As the object of the mission was just too seel it up I thought I would just leave it black as opposed to spraying on the blue over the top.

The paint job aint that great but I am pleased with how straight the bus is-I've still got loads of fiddly bits of fine filling to do but that can now wait untill next spring!
