After much deliberating I decided to buy an engine from a scrap yard and replace the whole lot, as the sensors were going to cost a fortune to buy and we couldnt locate the correct one.
This probably wasnt the best idea as its not a nice job removing such a big engine from a small space!
anyway. its all fine and back together seems to run ok and doesnt have the cutting out issue - so i am happy.
However the clutch on the new engine bites very low down - ie you hardly take your foot off the pedal before it starts moving. I had to replace the cable as the old one appeared to be damaged.
Is there any way of adjusting the clutch cables? there does seem to be an adjusting section, but i am unsure how it works.
Any help is appreciated!

I found out one of the sensors would have been £200 ish inc VAT, and I managed to get an entire engine, loom etc for £380.
Seems an odd way around but its solved the running problem!
Now just the stupid clutch to sort
and then back to my camper
